This was such a fun event. What a way to become initiated into young adulthood! Dancing, a gorgeous buffet and the mom put together an amazing photo slideshow from her toddler years through her life. I know this young lady felt surrounded by loving friends and family on this day!
I love my job when...I get clients that adore each other, embrace family and truly celebrate their daughters' Bat Mitzvah They invited me to the rehearsal ceremony and it was ceremonies as well as just a tad relaxed - so fun. I just can't help but fall in love with this family all over again looking at their pictures!
This bride was so calm cool and collected. She enjoyed the process of being made up by both the hair and make up artist and even ate some fruit salad during the process! By the time her fiance arrived to pick her up she was feeling good and ready for the wedding event. She did surround herself with only close family and a select two besties.
The stage was set with cake, baby, close family members and new baby! Only having a newborn baby a week earlier I thought this new mom did an amazing job in creating such a sweet birthday for her husband (and new Dad). Such a pleasure to do a more capture this caring family in their element.
Really good people, excellent food, drinks - what more do you need? Oh wait...it was an 8 year old birthday party! Excellent entertainment: clowns, balloons, magic, face painting, cotton candy & a bunny! Not to mention candy galore, really delicious cake and ices!
Sometimes the most graceful moments come amidst a storm. This birthday party almost didn't happen. Im so glad it did for everyone's sake but mostly Eva who likely won't forget this one. It was such a lovely and fun birthday party at Let's Dress Up. Nails, jewelry, tea & cupcakes, a perfect way to celebrate the cherished year ahead.
Last week, I photographed Miri's birthday and boy did this little girl party. I brought my Fuji camera, which I love to pieces, but I pushed my delicate new toy to its limit. You see, Miri is fast. She's athletic and her first priority was to play (not to sit still for my camera!) My Fuji cherishes the peace in the world - it peers out, it observes, and sometimes photographs emerge that are from another dimension, but not without some coaxing. The Fuji exists on its own terms and while that day I missed having my workhorse to fire away and catch all those wide-eyed, excited birthday goers, I was grateful to get this shot; in between "the moments" Miri was transformed into the universal girl - living her dreamiest childhood - being happy.
